Call started recording their debut album, Jilawatan which was released in November 2005 and immediately topped the charts. A string of hits followed with two predominant music styles:
Hardcore rock, the title track ‘jilawatan’, ‘Shayed’, ‘Kuch Nahin’ and lyrical ballads ‘Sab Bhula Kai’ and Bicher kai Bhee.
The first single “Nishaan” was recorded at khurram Jabbar Khan’s (CALL’s drummer) living room. Videos “Kuch Naheen” and “ Bichar Ke Bhee” were shot on the same day.
Most of the Lyrics used in the album were based on excerpts from the diary of Haider Jabbar Khan (Xulfi’s Brother)
The chorus of “Kismet” was written while discussing Einstein’s special theory of relativity.
Pukaar won CALL their first award for the best rock song.
